Doris Day (03.04.1924 - 13.05.2019) Sångerska, skådespelerska. Född (på samma dag som Marlon Brando) av tyska föräldrar i Evanstone, Ohio som Doris von Kappelhoff. Hon döptes till Doris efter stumfilmsstjärnan Doris Kenyon. Hon växte upp hos sin mormor och började tidigt intressera sig för dans och tänkte bli balett-ballerina. Fick dock lägga planerna på hyllan då hon skaddades i en bilolycka 1937. Började istället sjunga och som 16-åring reste hon runt med bl.a. Les Brown's och Bob Crosby's orkestrar och har gjort drygt 600 skivinspelningar. Hon filmdebuterade 1948 och har sedan medverkat i ett 40-tal filmer.
