Dorothy Carless was born in 1921, and seemingly living in California in 1997.Her sisters were Pearl Carr, born 1923, who had a popular singing partnership in the U.K with Teddy Johnson, and Carole Carr, 1928 - 1997, who also sang with bands such as Geraldo, as did Dorothy. Through the late 1930s , the 1940s and into the 1950s continued singing with various bands. A good pianist ,she got her break with Ray Noble's orchestra in the 1930s, moying on to other bands such as Ambrose and Geraldo. Radio appearances regularly, marrying violinist Eugene Pini in 1939, and between 1940 - 1944 recorded over 50 songs with Geraldo's Orchestra.
Moved to the USA in 1946, with second husband Henry Hull Jr, appearing in cabaret and on TV shows. Back in London in 1953, concerts and radio shows. Recorded various albums then apparently back to the USA by the 1960s, where she is now, so far as known....
